Arrival

We have arrived.

We had a long trip leaving Thursday 2:30pm Japan time and arriving Friday 6:30pm New Zealand time (2:30pm Japan time). A 24 hour trip.

All the students went to their homestay families Friday night and have spent the weekend getting to know them. Tomorrow they start school.
I also spoke with Miku today. She arrived 2 weeks earlier. She is enjoying New Zealand and has a noteable improvement her English. She wants to stay longer.

We hope to have photos loaded tomorrow night of our trip.
Must have 1000 already just from the flight over.


We have had a warm sunny weekend with a temperature of 25C. Very nice.

Taking Money to New Zealand

You should take Yen to New Zealand. The exchange rate when converting to NZ$ is better and there are no extra fees.
You will need money for bus fares and shopping. Yen30,000 will be plenty.
If you plan lots of shopping a credit card is safe and exchange rates are good.

Good morning everyone

Just to let you know that our flights have been confirmed.

We depart Chitose on Thursday, the 24th February at 14:25.
We arrive at Auckland, New Zealand on Friday,the 25th at 18:25.

We depart Auckland on Tuesday, 22nd March at 20:45.
We arrive at Chitose on Wednesday, 23rd March at 13:25.

Today I am waiting to here back from HIS. We will be either be traveling to New Zealand with Cathay Pacific via Hong Kong or Korean Airlines via Seoul.
